In Flushing, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New York vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8:30 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Isaac Auto Repair at (718) 539-7655; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 330 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Flushing.

Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Flushing is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Send the car there with a tow on a Friday assuring me they would check and replace the starter motor on Monday. I was going every day since they are not picking up, and it was always next day next day. They replaced the motor after 7 days, and the excuse was that we had 20 cars before you. In my question why didn't you tell me that from the beginning to get it out of here or do other arrangements with my work, they were shut up and smiling idiotically. I took the car half fixed because it gave all sort of faults after, that they couldn't fix, and a bottle of expensive cologne was missing from the glove compartment. Stay away! (and they are not cheap at all!)

One of the few honest mechanics out there. And they will take responsibility if they make a mistake. The only con is you have to go early because there is a line before he even opens. By noon, he has enough cars to work on and you may have to go another day. Which I’d say speaks to the number of people that trust their work.

TLDR; quick and honest shop, service may be a hit-or-miss, greatly loved and appreciated by locals. they're so busy that the # on the business awning is likely to never pick-up; just have to show up to shop. my reviews vary, some can be short, blunt, straight to the point- others can be overly detailed and extensive- just depends how much i connect with a space and the people; this is one of those reviews where i feel inclined and moved enough to write a story. a truck hit my left rear door (not at fault), and it left me without a vehicle. i was brought to isaac for help, never having gone to an autobody shop before. with my limited knowledge on vehicles, i panicked at what this estimate would be for the trucking company, what type of work would need to be done, and when i'd possibly get my car back. after talking with him directly, he reassured me and was honest of what needed to be done and how long it would take-- even gave me his personal cell! he is not money-hungry. i appreciate transparency and even if people argue that insurance handles everything, i wanted to know exactly what was being done to my car. **his mechanic network is VERY extensive, so i do agree with the o

The service was quick and welcoming. We went in for a flat tire and we left with this repair and was only charged $20 for it. We were very grateful and it saved us a lot of money. We never saw a tire can be repired like that but the boss was saying that "it last for 30 years". But when leaving, we asked to lower the 45 psi to 35 psi, the boss was saying that it will recalibrate later. Two days later, we adjusted the psi back to 35, the psi started to go down to 26 the next morning. Went to a tire shop, was told to replace a new tire eventually.
